Colin Taylor – Non-Executive Chairman
F.Fin, MAICD, FIPA
Colin is a retired banking executive with over 35 years of professional experience.
Colin held senior management positions with both Westpac and Bank SA in divisions as diverse as network management, marketing, property and finance culminating in being appointed General Manager, Commercial Banking for Bank SA in 1995 and serving for a period in 2003 as the Acting Managing Director of Bank SA. Colin was the General Manager at Bank SA until 2006 when he joined the new Executive Management team of AWB Limited, also in the role as General Manager, Financial Services. In this role, Colin was responsible for the Landmark Financial Services network and ultimately negotiated and facilitated the successful sale of the business to the ANZ Banking Group in mid 2010.
Colin is currently Chairman of the Heart Foundation’s National Finance Advisory Committee and was previously a Director of the National Heart Foundation. Colin is also a member of the Executive Committee, the National Ethics Committee and the Investment Committee of the Foundation.
Colin’s previous Board appointments include: the Art Gallery of S.A. Foundation, National Heart Foundation (South Australia), Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Neurosurgical Research Foundation, Trustee of the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia.
Colin is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the National Institute of Accountants.
Lachlan Perks – Executive Director
B.Com, LLB (Hons), M.App.Fin
Lachlan has in excess of 20 years’ experience in property investment, property development, funds management, corporate finance, interest rate trading, debt originations and risk management.
Lachlan is currently Managing Director of PPI Funds Management Pty Ltd, a specialist property fund manager with in excess of $650 million of assets under management. In his capacity as Managing Director of PPI Funds Management, Lachlan is responsible for the strategic direction of the group as well as the group’s acquisition and development initiatives. Lachlan is also a Responsible Person on the PPI Group’s Australian Financial Services Licences No 344601 and No 467297.
Prior to setting up Keystone and his role with PPI Funds Management, Lachlan worked within the Corporate Finance and Recovery division of PricewaterhouseCoopers in Melbourne, and then as an interest rate bond and derivative trader at the National Australia Bank in both Melbourne and Sydney.
Lachlan holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce both from the University of Adelaide. Lachlan also holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia (now KAPLAN) and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
Tom Waltham – Executive Director
M.ScTech(Comm), B.Acc, DipFMBN
Tom’s over 20 years of experience in the finance sector has cultivated strong project management, financial, analytical and entrepreneurial skills across a broad range of industries.
Tom is currently the Founder and Managing Director of Capital United Pty Ltd, a multiple award winning independent finance intermediary specialising in corporate, property, commercial and residential debt transactions. Tom is also a Responsible Person on Capital United’s Australian Credit Licence No 394566.
Prior to setting up Keystone and Capital United, Tom worked as an accountant for international accounting firm, Pannell Kerr Forster; as a consultant to a number of private clients; as a Senior Business Development Manager for the University of Technology, Sydney; and as a Senior Business Banking Manager for National Australia Bank’s premium commercial banking platform. Whilst at National Australia Bank, Tom worked with a number of iconic companies, and high net worth clients, where he gained valuable experience and insight into the internal works of a major Australian bank and its credit processes.
During his time at National Australia Bank and Capital United, Tom has directly worked on over $1Billion in debt finance transactions (from loan origination; pre drawdown; settlement; post settlement; mortgage management and loan exit).
Tom holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting from the University of South Australia, a postgraduate Master’s degree in Science & Technology Commercialisation from the University of Adelaide, a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Management from NSW TAFE, and a Certificate IV in Financial Services from Swinburne University.

Jason Cooke – General Manager
B.Com, MAICD
Jason has over 17 years of experience in the finance sector, including 15 years of banking experience with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. During that tenure Jason garnered a very broad range of experience across business banking, corporate financial services and institutional banking as well as regional and agribusiness.
Jason’s last role within the Commonwealth Bank of Australia was as Senior Relationship Executive and member of the SA Regional & Agribusiness Leadership Team. In this capacity, Jason oversaw four Account Managers / Analysts looking after a large portfolio of corporate and commercial clients in industries as diverse as wine manufacturing, vineyards, property development / investment, broad acre farming and services to agriculture.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Adelaide as well as a Certificate in Business Banking Research from Charles Sturt University.
Michael Veitch – Head of Property Finance NSW & QLD
B.Com, GradDipAppFin
Michael has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, including most recently a 10 year stint with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Throughout his career, Michael has worked across property finance, corporate banking, business banking and business development roles.
Whilst with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Michael held a number of senior roles including as a key member of the Property Specialist Team, and as a Business Development Executive working with Commercial Mortgage Brokers and Introducers. It is within this business development role that Michael’s expertise was regularly recognised both within the bank and industry-wide and he was the recipient of a number of awards including the NSW Commercial Lender BDM of the Year (FAST Aggregator), NSW Sales Support Specialist of the Year (CBA), New Business Origination (CBA) and Team Member of the Year (CBA).
Prior to his time at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Michael held property finance related roles at another major Australian bank and at one of Australia’s largest non-bank property lenders.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Sydney, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from FINSIA, and is a licensed real estate agent and auctioneer.
Owen Peacock – Senior Manager

Owen has more than 13 years of experience in the finance sector, having worked in a variety of roles across investment banking, commercial banking, corporate finance and agribusiness.
Most recently, Owen has worked in relationship management roles with Bendigo and Adelaide Bank and BankSA as well as a Senior Risk role at SecurePay and as a Constable with the Australian Federal Police.
Owen holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia (now Kaplan).
Maryann Stanton – Lending Services Manager

Maryann has over 25 years of valuable experience in the financial services sector.
Prior to joining Keystone Capital, Maryann spent 14 years working at a large Accounting and Financial Services Firm in Adelaide. During this 14 year period, Maryann fulfilled various roles including as a Candidate Manager within their HR Consulting Division and as both an Asset Finance Advisor and as a Finance Coordinator within their Banking & Finance Division. Earlier in her career, Maryann spent 10 years with AMP in a variety of insurance and financial planning related roles.
Maryann holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management) and Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking, General Insurance).

Darryl Royans – External Credit Committee Member
Darryl is a highly experienced career banker with in excess of 45 years of experience, over 40 of which were with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. During this time, Darryl held a number of management positions in a variety of different business units culminating in being Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s Regional Manager, Risk, SA, NT & Nth Western Victoria for the Corporate Banking Division for 7 years. In this role he managed 6 regional area offices and carried unrestricted approval authority up to $15 million.
David Hawkes – External Credit Committee Member

David is a highly experienced career banker with 41 years of experience with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. During this time David worked in numerous departments and positions including lending (both residential and commercial), internal audit, external inspection and approximately 20 years with various credit departments within the bank, culminating in him being Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s State Manager, Commercial Lending Solutions, Broker & Agency Sales SA & NT for 7 years.
